SLS Design Consultants Limited
Staff Training Procedures
Our aim is to recruit motivated individuals with qualifications appropriate to their role within the Company.
Further training and development goals are established at the outset of employment with the Company and attainments are monitored and recorded in order that targets and changing needs can be re-appraised on an ongoing basis.
Staff training requirements are identified as part of the day-to-day management of the Company and also as part of an overall Management Review process which is conducted on a monthly basis.
It is ensured that all staff have access to appropriate training opportunities provided by various methods and sources including internal and external seminars, further education courses, induction processes, new product and construction processes training, and specific health and safety training.
Seminars relating to construction products and techniques are organised on a regular basis and made available to all staff members engaged in the design and detailing process.
Members of professional bodies are encouraged to undertake relevant CPD activities in accordance with their institution requirements and are supported in doing so.
The Company will actively progress the attainment of CITB CSCS certification for all staff members required to visit construction sites on occasion during the course of carrying out their work. Site awareness talks are held with all staff prior to their attending construction sites for whatever purpose.
All aspects of training will be recorded on a Training Diary which will be maintained and regularly reviewed to identify weaknesses or omissions and to formulate targets.
